SIAA 抗菌加工
It is a symbol mark to mean Antimicrobial property certified by SIAA.
Only the products which satisfy the following 3 criteria can indicate SIAA Kohkin (antimicrobial) mark.
抗菌性
The proportion of bacteria on the surface of the product is 1/100 or less of that on the surface of a non-treated product, and the antimicrobial effect remains after durability tests. Antimicrobial property is judged based on the results of tests conducted in accordance with the ISO 22196 international standard.
安全性
The criteria for safety established by SIAA should be met.

What is Antimicrobial property?

Inhibition of proliferation of bacteria for a long period is referred to as Kohkin.
The process is distinguished from pasteurization and eradication, which temporarily kills and eliminates bacteria.

Complete killing of microorganisms.
Pasteurization
Killing of microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses.
Disinfection
Killing/elimination of all pathogenic microorganisms.
Eradication
Elimination of microorganisms from a certain substance or limited space.

The test is conducted in accordance with “JIS Z 2801 Anti-microbially treated products
– Testing method of antimicrobial property and antimicrobial effect”.

  • Measurement method is in accordance with JIS Z2801.
  • It is a typical value when One-push lid(MXP-E001)was tested.
